What an awesome day we had out on the water with Patrick and the crew! For a 5 Hour (AM) Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures, we definitely didn't hold back. The weather was perfect, with partly cloudy skies throughout the day, and the water conditions were great - perfect for the mix of techniques we had planned. As soon as we got the lines in the water, the action started heating up. We covered a lot of ground, drifting, jigging, and working the light tackle, and it paid off big time. Patrick was dialed in, landing some nice Redfish that put up one heck of a fight. The rest of the group was into the action too, with everyone getting a chance to reel in a few. You could feel the energy on the boat - just a bunch of anglers having a blast on the water. Between the steady bites, we had a chance to take in the beautiful South Padre Island scenery. This is such a special place to fish, and getting out on the bay this time of year is always a treat. The Redfish were feeding aggressively, taking our baits with authority, and putting on an incredible show. Even when we didn't boat a fish, just watching them blow up on the surface was worth the trip. Had a crew of two join us for a winter morning trip starting in the early hours. Cloudy skies hung over us throughout the day with rain rolling in, but that didn't stop us from getting out on the water. The weather made for some interesting conditions as we headed out with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures. We focused our efforts on bottom fishing and drift fishing techniques using light tackle to target the fish. The crew managed to land some nice Speckled Trout and Redfish during our time out there. Megan and family headed out for our fall morning trip with partly cloudy skies and the possibility of storms rolling in later.
