A cold start today, but didn't seem bother the fish. Trolling crankbaits and jigs at 0.9 - 1.2 mph accounted for more than 50 fish (5 species), mostly crappie (to 14.75 inches) and white bass (to 17 inches). All fish were released, so end-of-day bfish photo. The largest crappie earned Chris a Tennessee Angler Recognition Program (TARP) certificate.

Today's high was 73 degrees and the water temperature was 55 - 57 in response to spring-like temperatures over the past couple of days. Today's catch included crappie (to 13+ inches), white bass (to 17 inches), yellow bass, largemouth bass, and drum. More than 40 fish landed, but all but the largest were released.

We picked the best of four different forecasts today and got the worst. Cloudy and cold, but we still eked out a few fish.
