Trip Summary

We left the dock about 7:30am to go get live bait. We then cruised for 45 minutes to spot we can start fishing for Rockcod. 300' deep but great eating fish. We have special; reels to make it easy. We caught 2 fish short of limits. The little guy wanted a shark so we started trolling for Mako Shark. After 1 hour we hooked and landed a nice Mako.. Now the big brother wants one so we started troll again and within one hour we hooked up to a second Mako but he was short biter and we got 1/2 of the bait back. Oh well we will get him next time.

Departed from the slip around 7:30am, stopped and picked up some fresh sardines and mackerel from the local bait dock. Steamed offshore to look for some dolphins and whales. Then we cruised in shore to catch a variety of fish for the morning. Sculpin, sheepshead, and some blue perch! Sun was out and the water was calm. Lovely winter morning of fishing for this family:)

Left the slip at 7:30 AM. Stop at bait dock for live Sardines then ran offshore about 4 miles to troll for Bonito. No luck there but a very large70 Plus lb fish jumped twice next to the boat. We then when inshore to fish for Bass. We ended up catching 28 fish of 7 different varieties for two people. We saw 3 different pods of Dolphins and one Ca Grey Whale on the way back. Great Day of winter fishing

Left the slip at 8:00 AM and stopped at the bait dock for live Sardines. We already had squid for bait also. Cruised out for 3 miles and put the trolling jigs in the water in hopes of getting Some Bonito. We hooked up within 15 mintes and the young son fought the fish fopr about 10 minutes. He was very Happy. We then close to shore to anchor up and fish for Bass, Sheepshead, Calico Bass, Ocean White Fish. We caught them all. Fun day for everyone.
