Papi Chulo met us at the dock promptly at 7 am and introduced us to the crew for a whole day fishing.  We were excited and in the 3 and one half hrs of fishing caught a 250 lb black marlin, and 4 or 5 large mahi-mahi.  Then one of my friends with me started having chest pain.  The very professional crew quickly pulled in the lines and an hauled ass back to the marina.  Their caring demeanor and concern and actions reflect on their character.  The captain had an ambulance with a doctor meet us at the dock, Papi himself met us at the dock with several people assisting in a very careful responsible and knowledable way.  Papi even followed us to the small clinic to help interpretation . Gave us guidance after it was confirmed he was having a massive heart attack. And followed up for the past three days of scary concerns as My friend had only about a 12 percent chance of surviving.  He was transferred to 3 different hospitals with different capabilities.  He got TPA the clot buster and in San Jose he got a cardiac cath and stent and not only survived but is doing great. I know this is supposed to be about fishing but papi and the crew help save his life with their actions and i will always remember that and of course next year , we will return and fish again

Willy the captain did a spectacular job putting us on fish, we had booked a 3/4 day but after having a slow morning we extended to a full day and boy was I glad we did. Joshua is a great deckhand always changing out bait trying to find something that worked. Equipment on deck was top notch. We had a double hookup on sailfish, we also caught 5 mahi mahi and 1 marlin. Best deep sea trip I have ever taken.

Captain Willy started the way I expect a Seasoned Captain to by briefing us on the weather and that we were going to go about 1.5 hours to avoid the wind and waves which was good with us.  The entire crew was phenomenal keeping lines in the water and taking care of us with fruit, drinks, and awesome sandwiches.  We each hooked and landed a Sailfish and then a couple Mahi Mahi.
I would book again with Papi Chulo for any group under 5 people. 
My advice for anyone booking a trip is to take into consideration transport time and book the longest trip you can.

Did the morning charter.  The Papa Chul was perfect for 3 adults and one 4 year old.  Caught fish with is 45 minutes trolling.  Biggest was a 32 inch Mackerel.  Hooked a much bigger fish likely a shark but it bit the line. Great crew great experience.
