Embarking on a half-day journey on Papi Chulo, our family was met with an experience we’ll never forget. Our adventure began with a thrilling catch of a large sailfish, which immediately set the tone for a day brimming with excitement. The trip served as a wonderful family experience. The crew of Papi Chulo were exceptional, their expertise greatly contributing to our successful outing. Papi Chulo provided us a memorable and adrenaline-fueled fishing adventure.

Our fishing experience was really awesome, the Captain and mate were really kind and were very focused in helping us catch fish. They took us to a great spot to catch some Marlins and Velas, which we caught 4. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend coming to them for an experience.

Fantastic day fishing, we brought in a good number of dolphin fish. These guys know where they’re at and how to find them. Their team is extremely helpful and courteouse. The tuna and pica de gallo were super. The capt.‘s english is good and the deck hand communicates very well also. The owner met us before heading out and he knows these waters well. The crew worked very hard. The boat and gear was in very good shape and clean. The food was excellent. The cooler was full.  One thing that we noticed fishing in Costa Rica is there is not many boats that have a dock slip. This may or may not be a problem for people, but getting in and out of a water taxi when the surf is crashing can be tough.  Papi’s boat has a dock slip.  We highly recommend fishing with them if around flamingo.

The crew and Carlos were absolutely incredible today! We caught 5 mahi, a wahoo and 2 Bonita! Saw dolphins, a sea turtle, manatees, blue marlin and brought a sailfish to the boat! It was the best fishing day we’ve ever experienced!
