- Background
- I've been fishing since my Dad & Mom introduced the sport to me in the late 1960s. My Mom is a native of England & during WWII she would hide under a blanket while fishing the rivers of England to avoid detection by the German bomber pilots. She shared her love of fishing with me and we spent many days fishing the bay. Eventually, the excitement of pursuing pelagics soon took over and I couldn't get offshore often enough! My first boat, named Bubba Jean in honor of my Dad & Mom, soon developed a solid reputation of catching fish. It also served as a great platform on which new long-lasting friendships were made. Bubba Jean 28 is an expansion of that platform as I move forward offering memorable, safe excursions in our waters to a wider audience.
- Techniques
- I fish all different techniques, depending upon the targeted specieis. Kite, flyline, dropper, yo-yo, troll, slow troll, surface iron, popper, etc.
