What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Orange Beach, Alabama for the first time?

Wait till you can troll in/out. Conditions were not good for trolling as advertised on site for trolling; however, we got more time to bottom fish and brought in plenty of keepers.

Great experience for a colder than expected day in April but look forward to future trips to catch Amberjack and Cobia.

Captain Clay was a no call, no show. After 6 trips with him previously I’m done with a no call no show.

Sheepshead are a better fight than you expect. Even taking a 2-hour boat trip with a good guide is worth it.

Although it was cold in the morning, we knew that before coming. We also knew a few fish were out of season prior to coming but also knew this before booking so no issues.

Book with Lee Robinson for bay and river fishing for the different species you can catch there. He is very knowledgeable and will put you on the fish.

Depending on weather and water conditions, take in consideration of ride time for your trip. If water is calm you can get to your fishing spots quicker if rougher water may wanna book a longer trip.

If you don’t fish often, lift some weights before you come. We all fish a couple times a month and these fish wore us out!

I don’t know we had motor troubles but the same boat caught lots of redfish the day before we just had bad luck.

We recommend a short trip for first time anglers and to look into hook and cook if you want to eat your catch.

Water temperatures in August are elevated, so fish aren’t as active. Nonetheless, our captain found fish for us to catch

Snapper season is in full swing and amberjack is closed during so but in august snapper is slow and earlier is preferable

We had a good time. There was a lot on the water fishing at the same time but we still had great time.

It’s hot! Sunscreen is a must, especially if you aren’t accustomed to the heat in Alabama in August.

Understand that the seasons have all been open for a while and it is HOT. Drink water, bring sunscreen, and remember that you can go to the fish but you can’t make them cooperate every time

Go out early and don’t have your heart set on one certain species, just go with what is biting and have fun!

Noah was an awesome captain! He put my wife and I in excellent locations to catch some good fish! He even kept us out of some storms that I would not have known about. Perfect trip!

Probably inland fishing unless you want to troll out in open water. Drink plenty of water and get shade as much as possible. Hat and sunglasses and sunblock most definitely!

It was too hot for the fish to be biting. Caught 10 or 11 bonita on a 4 hrs trip. Was fun just not what we were hoping to target.

I would recommend booking a trip with captain Clint and deck boss Chris at Deep mystique fishing charters these guys and get you on the fish and you will definitely have a great time

Be ready to catch fish! Listen to the captain and the deck crew, it’s not the same as fishing in a lake or river!

Just a little issue with thunderstorms we had to work around but that’s to be expected in late July!

Be prepared to move to several areas on the water to get on the fish. Always bring sunscreen, a good hat, and sunglasses.

I would go fishing with Southern Bend Offshore Miss Ginger. Captain and first mate are great teachers and deliver results. Very honest, too.

Don’t let the size fool you, all these fish love to put up a fight!! Sun screen plenty of sun screen and a good hat!?

Check the weather before booking just to make sure and ask the captain what kind of fish they are catching.

We booked inshore but Captain Craig let us know sharks had made inshore not productive so we went out further.

Just spend the money the first time and go out to some deeper water and catch good fish. I’m glad we made that choice.

Be patient, I’m not, but my kids had a fun time as newbies!!! Enjoy the view and remember to take your time setting your hook! I couldn’t! lol.

Book your trip well ahead of your arrival. All these charters are a business and have schedules. Don’t expect to just show up and be able to book when you want. Be respectful of their time.
