We are still filling coolers up with fish even though the weather isn’t pretty. We are starting to see more and more slot sized reds mixed in with our sheepshead. The fishing is outstanding.

We are still hammering down trout. This past full moon had us fishing for big fish early in the mornings while waiting to switch to trout in the early afternoon. Heck even one trip we opted to leave the dock at 1pm and still had a 3 man limit of trout before 3pm. We’re still wade fishing over sand and grass flats. Last couple of trips we have broken 8 personal bests of either biggest Fish or there life period to biggest trout of there life. We will be fishing the Port O’Connor and Seadrift area. Capt Brandon

Well another weekend has came and gone and if there was one word I could describe it well, it would be WINDY and tough. Yes I know that’s more then one word. Saturday I hade Miguel, Sammy, Rudy and ReyRey. Our mission was to find some trout wadefishing. And that’s just what we did. Although it took awhile we were rewarded with some outstanding trout. We lost a bunch and caught a bunch. The wait was well worth it. Sunday we were after big fish with Blake, Bob, Kyle and Spencer. And well big fish is what we caught. 10 minutes into the first set One of the rods was doubled over screaming. After about a 30 min fight we lost a HUGE BULL SHARK at the boat. Well after re rigging the rod and set back up we followed up with a double hook up on some big blacktips. After a 45 min battle with one and a 1hr 20 minute battle with the other one these guys were wore out.

Over the last several days we have came into some extremely healthy speckled trout. We keyed in on bait in some dirty water and didn’t take long to start filling the box. As it gets warmer here on our side of the coast we expect our fish to hold tight to shell reefs in the morning and relocating to sand and grassy areas through out the day.

The last few weeks our fishing has been outstanding. Regardless of the weather we have been filling coolers. Matter of fact, the worst weather has been producing the best fishing days. Just the other day we had winds reported up to 60mph and that morning of( 35-40mph) we ended up with a 5 man limit of redfish before 11 am. Our summer wade fishing is about to kick off in mid May.
