Trip Summary

With the live well full of bait, we headed in close to shore and got a couple of big rooster fish on and they put up a good fight. Too good, in fact. Both got away before we could bring them aboard. We did land a nice needlefish and a Spanish Mackerel before heading back to the beach.

Black Snapper II is a very versatile boat. Ideally suited for inshore fishing for Roosterfish, it's also a fast and quickly maneuvered offshore boat. We headed out for sailfish first and found a sweat spot. Then, heading in we found tuna and dorado. Another great day aboard Black Snapper II out of Marina Pez Vela in Quepos!
