What a blast we all had during yesterday’s Summer Solstice Shootout here in Costa Rica. A brand new species hunt format tested the skills & strategies of Anglers and crews, safe to say everyone had a great time with lots of laughter along the way. Chris, Jeff, Gabe & Benjamin joined us aboard GOOD DAY and we gave it our all catching 14 different species throughout the day, unluckily only 6 of the species were on the official list which was good for 6th place for us out of 22 boats. Congrats to FULL NELSON for the win with 11 species, BLUE DAZE in second with 9 species and SKY II in 3rd with 8 Species. BIG EYE 2 swooped the heaviest fish dollars with a 99lb Tuna, great fish! Our fish of the day was an estimated 150lb Blacktip Shark fought amazingly by 12 year old Benjamin and a 15lb Snook caught by Jeff, a stunning fish.
