My wife and I took a 6pm evening tarpon trip. After a fast 4 mile trip, we were already at Captain Josh’s hot spot. Within 25 minutes of having bait in the water, the bite was on. The first three bites, the fish didn’t hook. The fourth bite was the one! After a 25 minute battle, I had successfully caught a @130 lb tarpon. What a fight! I highly recommend Captain John and he will be my first call the next time we’re in the Keys!

We were on fish in 5 minutes my 12 y/o daughter reeled in a 7’ 200 I’ll Tarpon with in the 1st 45 minutes of our trip.
My 13 y/0 reeled in a huge barracuda and also had a fight with a 4 ft spinner Shark..Thanks Capt John for the Catch of a life time.
We can’t wait to fish again with Capt. John.  Absolutely the best Capt in the KEYS..

Wedding day. Birth of children. Fishing with FUN YET Charters. Yesterday was one of the most memorable days of my life. Captain John put us on some fish!! From arriving promptly to the dock right in front of the place we were staying, to letting us choose whether we wanted to try inland or reef fishing, to offering tips and advice about how to land the fish (without it coming off as “man-splaining”), everything was flawlessly executed and delivered beyond our expectations. We caught mutton snapper, yellowtail snapper, grouper (not in season), king mackerel, and even some sharks! To top it off, John cleaned the fish for us, and even joined us at a local restaurant (his girlfriend came too!) where they cooked the fish. It turned into a fun afternoon and now we have new friends who live in The Keys. A perfect experience for our annual “girls trip” worth every penny. Thank you FUN YET charters!

The fishing was a little slow, but Mike made it happen.  We all had a chance to catch some cool fish.  Snapper, grouper, shark, etc.  Fun times and memories made!

He is very patient with kids and his willingness to accommodate was awesome.

My group of six had a great day with Capt. John.  Truely a veteran and knowledgable guide, he gave us a choice of either fishing offshore/reef/wrecks, or staying more inland.  Warned he expected that with the winds it would be a little rough if we wanted deepwater.  Given our party included two teens, we stayed inshore and had action all day long, keeping 23 nice fish for multiple meals.  Would highly, hlghly recommend.
