What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Honolulu, Hawaii for the first time?

I booked a different trip and it was not exactly what I hoped... this was a true fishing boat with crew to match. Would absolutely go out with them again.

Get a good guide - fish are pretty different in this area from other coastal areas in the mainland US.

Get ready for some sore arms these are some big boys. Exciting ride with some big fights and even bigger fish.

Make sure to bring nausea pills incase you're not sure if u get sea sick. Wear sunscreen and bring a hat and plenty of drinks. Make sure you tip. The crew works hard! Support the island!!!

Do it for the experience and just enjoy the time on the water. Definitely a great experience and fun with family.

Be prepared for the elements. There's a lot on motion on the boat. Keep you're eyes open and pay attention.

Get away from the bustle and hustle of the island city life and enjoy the sea...after all, there's plenty of fish in the sea.

Enjoy the experience. It's fishing so nothing is guaranteed. The waters are beautiful and the scenery is awesome!

Don't expect to catch big numbers or big sized fish just expect to catch fish and you will be happy with this trip.

If you think you might get sea sick take medicine night before. Waves can be a little choppy but boat is very big lots of room.

Trust they will take you out to the right fishing grounds. Can be slow due to weather at times but they will bite.

Remember it's fishing. If people caught a monster fish everytime they went out, everyone would be a sport fisherman for a living.

Ask for Captain Eric, him and Lucas were excellent and explained everything very well as to what to expect and how to bring it in.

This crew will go out of thier way to make sure you get a fish. They tried everything and it ended up working out. Amazing knowledgeable crew that was fun. Definitely would book again!!

Set your expectations. It's called fishing and not catching for a reason but the Captain and crew did their very best.

I picked a trip that would be good for first timeers...kids. I was completely satisfied with the whole trip.

Fishing anywhere is unpredictable; fish don’t bite, aren’t there, the weather is crappy, the water is turbulent, etc. The experience is worth it.

Can't say we got false advertising for deep sea fishing but did not get deep sea fishing instead we got a boat ride and some sailing.

2 hour trip is reasonable price to get out on water and catch reef fish.... big stuff you wanna go half day at least.

Spend 6 hours or more on the boat you get better chances of getting a bigger fish

Fish on the the Whipsaw with Captain Mike…you’ll find him under the birds ?

Find good people that know their stuff. Hear their stories, learn, enjoy the experience.

Have some patience...it's a big ocean and it's just luck of the draw if you can find the fish!

Needed the real captain . Kids didn’t want to work to make a catch didn’t even try .
